The demo video about it seems nice so I tried it a few days ago because I was impressed of the the fact it was free, it has an easy speed-up function for video and has a screen recorder. My antivirus did not detect anything bad with it.

I've tried to install it. The setup which can be downloaded from their site is an online installer that will still download the program components for you during the installation process which is kind of a bad thing for me cause I wanted an offline installer that can be installed on a computer without Internet connection as a sole setup package with all the program components in it. The interface was kind of neat but to me, it looked like it has so very few options and functions, no toolbars, no menu bar which is kind of dumbed down to me really. There was also no obvious 'Publish' button like Windows Movie Maker does despite it having an 'Upload to Youtube' button. I tried the screen recorder function and it showed an error then the whole program would freeze.

Closed it and tried it again and still, it would freeze. I assume something wrong on the installation process might have corrupted the program so they should have released a stable offline installer instead. Others probably did not experience the same issue and are happy in using Ezvid. I was upset with that and uninstalled Ezvid. I am still with Windows Movie Maker 6.0 right now as I'm familiar with it.
