This is more of a book on what makes a good man, than instructions on how to be one. It is a quick read and worth reflecting on.

Challenging many of the confusing messages of the past years, this title explains why many relationships aren't working and what a man can do to make things better.

It is told as a story, about a man having a conversation with his grandfather about trouble with his marriage. At the end of each chapters they highlight the main point each chapter highlights; if you wanted to you could just read these once you've gone through the story. This book is great because it isn't one of those manosphere books, but it also isn't some feminist garbage either. It doesn't seek to recover some 50s utopian idea of marriage, but includes timeless wisdom from over the centuries.

It isn't exactly religious, but I think the author probably has a Jewish background and he certainly uses a variety of biblical and judeo-christian sources of wisdom. This is a great book that does an excellent job of dispelling the myth that women want an overly sensitive man. I was slightly put off by the fact that the book is written as a fictional conversation between a man and his grandfather, but that didn't take away from the wisdom included therein.

I have actually applied some of the principles discussed in this book, and the result has been a much better relationship with my wife. I highly recommend this book to every man who is is currently in or considering getting into a serious relationship with a woman.
